Kicking off their first holiday season, Andaz Tokyo in Toranomon Hills will be celebrating December with pastry, parties and fine dining.

The Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, located in Tokyo’s second tallest building, offers the height of style with its blend of stylishly appointed rooms, sumptuously luxurious cuisine, and refined hospitality. The hotel, which opened in June of this year, has already made their mark on the hotel scene.

They’re also looking to put their own spin on Tokyo’s winter season with a few special offerings that feature a unique holiday twist. We’re firmly in the “dessert first” camp, so we’ll take a look at Tokyo Andaz’s lineup of Christmas cakes and hampers (because they’re a little too big to be called “baskets”). The cakes, which have been crafted by Executive Chef Gerhard Passrugger and Pastry Chef Masaki Okazaki, come in a wide variety of styles and flavors: you can choose among a Buche de Noel, a strawberry short cake, and a lumiere made with pistachio mousse. The baskets come in two sizes, and feature a mix of small cakes, fruit, cookies, and chocolate. Reservations can be made for both cakes and hampers at the pastry shop on the first floor.

If you’re looking to celebrate Christmas or New Year’s Eve in style, set your sights on the 51st-floor Andaz Tavern restaurant, where the hotel will be putting on festive meals for both holidays. The Christmas menus come in four, five, and six-course options, and are available from December 20 to 25.

Andaz will be pulling out all the stops for their New Year’s Eve celebration with two different dinners, each featuring festive decorations and joyful live music to help ring in 2015. The first meal on offer will be a Gala Dinner from 5:30 to 8:00, available with four or five courses, while the Gala Countdown Dinner, held from 8:30 pm until midnight, is a five-course affair accompanied by a free flow of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and wine pairings for each dish. Some of the highlights of the menu are a Snow Crab and Apple Effiloche, Champagne Soup, Perigord Truffle, Duck Confit Ravioli, and Japanese Beef Sirloin Steak with a Parmesan and Saffron crust.

Spaces won’t last long, so be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible.
