Just a month after opening its first location in Shibuya, Milk, a retailer specializing in products made with fresh dairy cream, has already had 30,000 visitors.
In celebration, Milk has accelerated plans to open additional branches: this month, pop-up and take-out shops will open in Shinjuku and Harajuku, respectively. An addition Ikebukuro branch will open in fall.
Many stores offer cream-based dishes, but Milk is Japan’s first to truly specialize in the fresh dairy ingredient. The retailer even teams with production areas and carefully considers its blending and manufacturing methods in an effort to turn cream from a topping to a main dish.
Some items on the Milk menu include chiffon cake, cheesecake, parfaits, and soft ice cream.
The Harajuku shop, which opened August 3, is located in JUSTIN, while the Shinjuku store, which opens at the end of the month, will be located on Lumine Est’s first floor.
