Narita Airport isn’t just Japan’s gateway to the world: it also hosts various events introducing Japanese culture aimed at international visitors.
In September, visitors can take a great selfie with a large stereoscopic panel of beautiful Ishigaki, an island near Okinawa, or take in an exhibition of various obi kimino sashes tied in the shapes of eight popular Asian flowers. Guests can even try on yukata, casual summer kimono, for a photo shoot.
What’s more, various hands-on experiences are offered in the area after embarkation procedures, every day. This month includes ukiyo-e woodblock printing, origami, yukata, calligraphy, paper dolls and kites and more.
