Every month, Nerd Nite gathers smart speakers and a curious crowd, then add to it a bar and some mingling.
September is the 100th anniversary of one of the most significant events in Tokyo’s history, the Great Kanto Earthquake. Seismologist Christine Houser will be here to discuss it and help us prepare for the future. There will be a raffle for emergency gear, too!
The second speaker, materials scientist Fabio Lisi, will be sharing his work on new tests to help tackle the hidden challenges posed by asymptomatic sexually transmitted infections.
Drinks (both alcoholic and non) and light snacks will be available. Kids are also welcome at Nerd Nite.
When: September 15 (Friday), doors open at 19:30, and start at 20:0
