Invigorate Your Senses With Interactive Balloon Sculptures

The WHAT MUSEUM is set to host the “Synesthesia – The Five Senses Interacting Through Art” exhibition, showcasing interactive balloon sculptures by Akito Okunaka that invite visitors to experience art with all their senses. Okunaka, inspired by the philosophies of Bruno Latour, aims to explore the connections between nature, society and humanity. His works, which incorporate air, water, and light, are designed to evoke a sense of connection and resonance with the viewer.

Visitors can expect to be immersed in a multi-sensory experience. The centerpiece, a massive balloon sculpture filled with a water pillow, will change color and form, inviting interaction and exploration. In addition to the main installation, the exhibition will also feature sketches, interviews and the books that influenced Okunaka’s work, providing deeper insight into his creative process.
