Celebrate the Magic of the Christmas Season at Tokyo Disney Resort

Both Disneyland and DisneySea will have new limited time offerings for Disney Christmas from November 15 to December 25; including new performances, decorations, seasonal merchandise, special menus and updated attractions.

Entertainment

A seasonal parade, “Disney Christmas Stories: Fond Farewell,” will only be performed during this limited time. This 45-minute parade features various Disney characters spending time with loved ones. This year will be the last time it is presented before the parade retires. As parades are extremely popular at Tokyo Disney, it’s highly recommended to secure your viewing spot at least 30 to 45 minutes before showtime. Guests can also get a Disney Premier Access pass to get a reservation at the designated viewing area for an additional fee.

The Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights show will present a special holiday version during the event period. The 45-minute nighttime parade features a wide variety of Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, the Disney Princesses, the Disney Fairies and the Toy Story cast– all surrounded by thousands of lights. The holiday version will have characters in Christmas costumes and the parade music will be arranged with holiday songs. This parade is also available on Disney Premier Access for an additional fee.

The Tokyo Disneyland marching band will be roaming performing familiar holiday tunes.

Starbright Christmas will be a seasonal fireworks show set to the tune of popular Christmas songs.

Over at DisneySea, Mickey and his friends will appear at Mediterranean Harbor in Christmas-themed outfits for this special greeting show. The popular Duffy Bear and Shellie May will also make an appearance, along with Santa Claus.

DisneySea’s American Waterfront will be themed around “Dazzling Christmas in New York.” Capturing the joyful sounds of the holidays at the Big Apple, the park section will have live music. Christmas carolers will sing in acappella, the Holly Jolly Trio will perform clarinet and accordion, and the Holiday Wonder Band will play various Christmas songs.

Attractions

Disneyland will have two updated attractions with a holiday overlay. Country Bear Jamboree will transform into Jingle Bell Jamboree from November 8 to January 13. The animatronic bears will be wearing Christmas-themed outfits.

From September 19 to January 13, the Haunted Mansion becomes Holiday Nightmare. This festive version of the attraction features the characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

Merchandise

A variety of limited edition merchandise will be available starting on November 8. Goods include a wreath-shaped headband, Christmas sweaters, holiday plushies and stationery with holiday motifs.

The Mickey-shaped Christmas fairy Li’l Ring Ring is another massively popular seasonal character that is making their return. New Li’l Ring Ring goods include toys, mittens, tissue box covers, blankets, mugs, hand creams and biscuits stuffed inside a Christmas stocking.

DisneySea’s Dazzling Christmas in New York will also have exclusive merchandise including tote bags and plush charms, which you can also buy the matching mini pouches that house the plush toys inside a wreath, a present or a gingerbread house.

Food

Various restaurants and food stands around the park will have special menus inspired by the season. The special set from Plaza Pavilion Restaurant will have a pastrami beef and egg hot sandwich, corn chowder, salad, chicken on the bone, french fries and an orzo salmon tartare. The seasonal sandwich at Sweetheart Cafe has ham, egg and pasta salad between red-colored buns. Grandma Sarah’s Kitchen has an omurice with fried shrimp and shrimp tomato cream sauce. The set even comes with a dessert: a chocolate walnut cake with strawberry sauce. The Blue Bayou Restaurant, which sits inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, has a Christmas course menu with your choice of either a lobster gumbo or seafood appetizer, a roast beef entree with either ragout or a mushroom sauce, and a strawberry verrine or beignet parfait for dessert.

For smaller snacks and drinks, the Refreshment Corner will serve bacon and cheese gratin hot dogs. The Great American Waffle Company will add a holiday twist on the classic Mickey waffle with freeze-dried strawberries, strawberry whipped cream, maple syrup and a holly-shaped chocolate. Warm up with a bourbon and cocoa hot cocktail at Troubadour Tavern. The hot apple ginger drink with chunky dried apples will also bring you to a festive mood.
