Traditional German Christmas Market held in Meiji Jingu Gaien
Meiji Jingu Gaien’s Christmas Market (located a 10-minute walk from Gaienmae Station) is set once again to be one of the most popular and liveliest markets in Japan. For the past nine years, its iconic centerpiece has been the “Christmas Pyramid” — a 14-meter, six-tier structure crafted in Germany. This year, the Christmas Pyramid is getting a makeover with the theme of Grimms’ Fairy Tales. Visitors can enjoy classic German cuisine, sweet treats and beer as they wander through the stalls. Artist Aina the End (stylized as AiNA THE END) has been confirmed for the opening ceremony.
