Anstis Explores Dreamlike Intimacy in ‘Bath’
Perrotin Tokyo presents Sara Anstis: Bath, the Stockholm-born, London-based artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery, running from March 5 to April 5, 2025. Known for her dreamlike scenes where nude figures intimately interact with animals, Anstis’ work draws from Surrealism while also reflecting influences from medieval and early Renaissance art.
Her oil paintings and drawings blend symbolic elements with geometric abstraction and mid-20th-century color theory. Visitors can explore this imaginative world at the Perrotin Salon Tokyo, with an opening reception on March 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
