Expat favorite bierVana has been “reborn” with a new carvery menu
The Akasaka based bar and restaurant famed in Tokyo for its extensive beer selection will rebrand as “bierVana Carvery & Grill”, for its reopening on November 24.
“The rebranding was prompted by customer feedback as most people assume we only do drinks, the new carvery and grill menu should change that” said manager John Watkins.
The newly added carvery menu includes a choice of either grilled meat or fish, or, on alternate days, a carvery with choices of beef, pork, turkey. Guests can serve themselves from a range of hot and cold vegetables and salad, and sauces or dressings.
“We are a popular stop for avid beer drinkers, with a chilled wall featuring over 99 varieties of bottled beer from more than 60 countries, and 10 draught beers, including real-ale and cider. bierVana is one of Tokyo’s few true “bier” pubs, where you can have an informal drink and a bite in the bar area, or relax in our comfortable and plush seating area.”
“Guests can also enjoy on our 10 meter screen – bier related scenes from around the world and main sporting events.”
bierVana have also started a Thursday Ladies Night, offering half-price cocktails and wine and a Steak Night offering sizable steak dinners for just ¥1,000. Beer tasting events are to be scheduled monthly, and the bar will soon inaugurate “wineVana” – a monthly Saturday afternoon wine and cheese event.
