Tokyo is a literal treasure trove of funky fashion finds, especially when it comes to cool vintage threads. There are amazing bargains and steals to be had, if only one knows where to look. The neighborhoods of Shimokitazawa, Koenji, and Harajuku are bursting at the seams with second-hand and vintage clothing, accessories, shoes, and knickknacks culled from flea markets, garage sales, attics, thrift stores, and grandmothers’ closets around the world. Each store has its own unique flavor, so it’s best to try out several before deciding on a favorite, but the following list should at least provide a starting point. Happy hunting!
