There’s nothing like a cute character and some even cuter food to cause a social media storm in Tokyo. Anticipation has been high since we wrote about the upcoming launch of Snoopy Museum Tokyo back in August last year, and since its official opening on April 23, adorable images of the museum have been filling up newsfeeds across the city.
Set in Roppongi, the gallery will hold rotating exhibitions until September 2018, changing every six months. These will give visitors the chance to view original cartoons from the collection of the Charles M. Schulz Museum, along with unpublished sketches and artwork. There is, of course, a café featuring themed food, and a shop selling all sorts of “Peanuts” memorabilia.
There are five visiting time slots per day, with tickets costing from ¥400 for elementary school students up to ¥1,800 per adult. But these details can be found at www.snoopymuseum.tokyo/en – what you really want to see are the best photos doing the rounds. Here are 10 of our favorites, gathered from Instagram feeds across Tokyo…
