Unfortunately this isn’t about a new aerospace engineering technique that a lot of travelers dream of—we have to disappoint you that you haven’t woken up in a world where pot noodles take longer to make than a trans-Pacific journey.
Although much simpler than super-speed travel, this video is equally incredible.
Over 3,400 images were captured from above a Boeing 747-400 to make a time lapse video all the way from Tokyo Narita Aiport to San Francisco. A journey that ordinarily takes around nine and a half hours is summed up in as little as 83 seconds, and has captured clouds passing by at an unbelievable speed and also shows the sun setting as well as rising.
Maybe this will restore the beauty of flying for those that usually try to drown themselves in in-flight entertainment during long haul flights.
