Get in the holiday spirit and celebrate the Christmas magic at Azabudai Hills. Here is your one-stop shop for Christmas goods, dining, treats and beautiful sights as you stroll.
Christmas Market
Azabudai Hills Central Walk, connecting Kamiyacho Station Square to Tower Plaza, will be decorated as “Christmas Street.” During weekends, you can catch several lively activities such as greetings with Santa Claus, portraits by popular illustrators and performances by balloon artists. You don’t want to miss the dynamic acrobats and dancers performing their aerial spectacular on November 30 and December 1.
The Azabudai Hills Christmas Market located in the central plaza will host a pop-up village of 17 different food, beverage and retail shops. These booths will also include eight Japanese and international brands who were selected to join the market for the first time. The market will run from December 9th to 25th from 11:00 to 21:00.
During the event, the large roof area by Tower Plaza, nicknamed “The Cloud,” will be draped with gorgeous lights designed by Shohei Shigematsu of the international architectural design group OMA. The area will be lit up from 11:00 to 24:00.
The central plaza will be covered in many festive decorations, with sparkling trees and giant gift boxes making the perfect photo spots to capture all of the holiday memories.
Pop-Ups and Collaborations
Käthe Wohlfahrt, a world-famous German company specializing in Christmas decorations and merchandise, will open its largest store in the Kanto region at Azabudai Hills. This year’s new product theme is “Christmas and Postboxes.”
Luxury Italian designer Dolce & Gabbana is collaborating with long-established Sicilian confectionery manufacturer Fiasconaro, creating traditional Italian Christmas sweets such as panettone and nougat in elegant tins designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
Bentley Motors will be exhibiting the new tourmaline green Continental GT/GTC and luxurious Bentayga SUV models at the lawn area of the Azabudai Hills central plaza. Customers who apply for consultations or test drives through the campaign website during the event will receive an original Bentley pouch and a bath oil from Aromatherapy Associates, a leading British aromatherapy brand that is also enjoyed by the royal family. The exhibition will be open from November 23 to December 25 from 11:00-21:00.
Kerst Bloem, which means Christmas flower in Dutch, is your shop for all things florals, ornaments and wreaths. The shop will have a wide selection of authentic Christmas decorations, including glass ornaments made in Estonia, Italy, and Poland.
Food
Sample various Christmas dishes from around the world at the Azabudai Hills Christmas Market. Twelve market booths will present typical gourmet food from various countries. Restaurant Dining 33, supervised by Kiyomi Mikuni, will serve the traditional French meat and vegetables dish pot-au-feu; Fiordimaso & Clandestino 41, which serves authentic Italian cuisine, will serve focaccia sandwiches and cheese fondue; and German Christmas Stand will serve freshly baked German-style pretzels and sausages. Other international treats include Belgian waffles, potato chips with truffles and cheese, Basque cheesecake and more.
Minimal, located in Azabudai Hills Garden Plaza A, is a bean-to-bar chocolate brand that ranked second in the world at the 2023 International Chocolate Competition. Their entries to the Christmas Market are exclusive spiced chocolate drinks: a hot chocolate and a hot chocolate chai. Starting in December, they will also be selling chocolate stollen.
For those planning to make a home-cooked feast, Azabudai Hills market also has you covered with a wide selection of ingredients and prepared dishes that are perfect for Christmas parties. From December 23 to 25, the market will have a designated area for Christmas staples such as chicken, roast beef, prosciutto, cheese and wine.
