New Merch, Shows, Decor, and More Celebrating Kitty’s 50th
As Sanrio continues Hello Kitty’s big 50th anniversary celebrations, several new special updates are coming to Puroland theme park.
As November 1 marks the official day of Hello Kitty’s debut, the first 1,101 people to come to Sanrio Puroland on that date will receive a limited edition T-shirt. This gift campaign is only available for one day, for guests who have an original passport ticket purchased at a Sanrio Gift Gate shop.
Hello Kitty and her sister Mimmy are debuting several new costumes for meet-and-greets. Guests can meet Kitty and Mimmy at Puro Village or participate in two special greeting events which require advance reservations at an additional cost. The Special Pair Greeting at the Event Corner costs ¥5000 with up to four people able to participate per ticket, and comes with an original acrylic pouch charm. The Special Birthday Live is an 80-minute exclusive show performing at Marchen Theater only on November 1 to November 3. The show will feature special guests Dear Daniel and Tiny Chum. Tickets cost ¥7500 and includes an original T-shirt and postcard.
The Lady Kitty House attraction will have updated installations and 50th anniversary decor. A projection map show will immerse you in 50 years of Hello Kitty history, available until the end of the year.
The Anniversary Illumination show will light up Puro Village with hundreds of lights accompanied by the anniversary collaboration song “Popcorn!!” by Maisondes. The show will be on display from October 4, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
