Renowned pianist Jordi Palomares, former bronze medalist of the World Piano Competition Cincinnati, returns to Japan for an intimate concert. Previously referred to as Spain’s Musical Ambassador, the Barcelonian maestro will also perform two of his own compositions — “Songs” and “Instants” — in Japan for the first time.

Split into two parts, the opening section will focus on showcasing the best of Spanish repertoire, including Palomares’s own compositions alongside Mompou and Albeniz. The second half will comprise the maestro’s rendition of a defining sonata of the Romantic era: Piano Sonata in B minor (by Franz Liszt).

There will be an informal talk before the concert in English (or Spanish, depending on audience preference).
