The Smallest Chef in the World Conquers Tokyo

ANA InterContinental Tokyo recently announced the opening of Le Petit Chef, a cinema dining restaurant with projection mapping on the hotel’s 36th floor. The campaign will run until July 31, 2025. It’s the first time that it has been available in Tokyo.

Created in 2015 by the Belgian artist collective “Skullmapping,” Le Petit Chef is a fusion of tabletop projection mapping and gastronomic entertainment. A tiny 58-millimetre-tall chef appears on the plate, moves comically around the projected table and works hard right in front of your eyes to serve a five-course French menu, from starters to dessert.

Four different menus are available: Le Petit Chef Course, Premium Course, Vegetarian Course and Kids Course. Dishes include tomato and burrata salad, traditional bouillabaisse, Japanese domestic filet and a chestnut Montblanc dessert.
