Drawing on the Japanese word for “chit chat,” PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo back in 2003 as an event for young creators to meet, network and show their work to the public. It is a social event where creators from all backgrounds present their work in the “20×20” format, where 20 slides are presented in 20 seconds each.
The 187th volume will be held this February in Tokyo, in a celebration of PechaKucha’s birthday, International PechaKucha Day.
