Tokyo Weekender’s Superstar Photographer Hosts Fundraising Exhibition
Lisa Knight, the face behind the Tokyo Weekender instagram, responsible for many of our best photos, is hosting a solo exhibition in Shibuya, to raise funds for cancer research.
Knight is known for her accessible instagram account, featuring her own content that spans the width and breadth of Japan, and then some more. She’s also the head honcho of Ambient Photography Collective, a 1,500-member strong female photographer community. Knight’s enviable aesthetic turns normalcy into magic, from fields of flowers to one man and his pet tortoise.
Knight says: “This collection is my love letter to Japan — a country that has transformed me over the past five years. Through these images, I hope you’ll feel the pull of Japan’s spirit and feel inspired to explore deeper.”
100% of proceeds from exhibition print sales, workshops, and event tickets, as well as 25% of online print sales during December and January, will be donated to Love Your Sister, an Australian charity dedicated to funding precision medicine for all cancer patients.
