A World-Class International Art Fair in Yokohama
After a successful launch last year, Tokyo Gendai is returning to Pacifico Yokohama to showcase some of the world’s leading artists. Bringing together around 70 exceptional galleries from 18 countries across the globe — including the U.K., the U.S., France, Germany, Spain and South Korea — Tokyo Gendai serves as a hub for the contemporary art community, connecting gallerists, artists, viewers and art collectors.
Featuring carefully selected artworks from iconic, world-renowned artists and emerging talent alike, Tokyo Gendai provides visitors with a unique opportunity to view a wide variety of high-quality overseas art. At the same time, it puts a spotlight on Japan’s thriving contemporary art scene, allowing for cross-cultural discovery and exchange.
The event will take place from July 5–7. In addition to exhibitions from leading galleries, it has a robust line-up of public programs, including special exhibitions focusing on contemporary social issues, art talks between industry professionals, a kids’ workshop and large-scale installations.
