Illustrator Yusuke Nakamura started his career in 2002 and will be celebrating his 20th year in 2022. He has been called one of the most active illustrators in Japan, both in name and reality. Nakamura has created album covers for the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation and book covers for novels such as The After-Dinner Mysteries and The Night is Short, Walk on Girl. He was also in charge of character designs for anime, appeared on TV and radio, and published his own essays.
This exhibition will be a large-scale attempt to bring together almost all of Yusuke Nakamura’s work to date. Under each theme, not only finished illustrations, but also line drawings and sketches of ideas before coloring will be shown. During the exhibition, there will also be autograph sessions, talk shows with celebrities, and the sale of exclusive original goods.
