Here’s your chance to sip from a choice of 77 different beers, helpfully divided into ten types, or categories, from Pilsner to Lambic to Abbey ales, all in the company of that refined Roppongi Hills atmosphere. What’s more, your glass gives something back to Japan.
The “weekend” begins on Wednesday and runs right through until the following Sunday so whether it’s an after work tipple or an afternoon enjoying Belgian music from Belgian musicians probably only Belgians will have heard of (Arsenal, PJDS (aka beuzak) and Roland, anyone?) with an ale, you will enjoy yourself. Maybe we are being a touch unfair, Arsenal’s synth-rock is certainly worth a try…
To find out more about Belgium For Japan, the organizers’ charity, which was set up after the earthquake and will benefit to the tune of 100 yen per beer glass bought, click here. The project raised over 3 million yen in the last year and say their latest proceeds will go to the Motoyoshi Hospital in Kesennuma.
Belgian beers aren’t often too cheap, but they are certainly worth it. It is free to get in but beers must be bought with tokens, available to buy in sets.
Special tickets with a ‘package’ will be available (click the link below for more details) and for example, a “starter set” for ¥3,100 might get you three Belgian beers, a main dish and a dessert, which actually turns out to be quite a bargain. And don’t forget that charity…
