This August 25 and 26, Awafes, a foam party which has attracted over 50,000 people, will make its way to Osaka Castle for Awafes Osaka Bon 2018.
The large-scale outdoor event, produced by Afro&Co. in collaboration with Cool Japan TV, will feature two days of foam-filled fun with music, dancing and more themed around Japanese summer festivals and bon dance.
The event was first announced at the Taipei Tourism Expo, held from May 4 to May 7 in Taipei. With the 2020 Olympics in mind and visitors from abroad on the rise, the event, with multilingual service and other options for non-Japanese participants, is seen as a potential model for future events of the same scale.
Tickets for the event go on sale July 1 at 10am and go for ¥4,500.
