George Clinton, the music legend, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and the mad genius behind two of the funkiest bands of all time, Parliament and Funkadelic, is flying in on the P-Funk Mothership for two nights at Tokyo’s Billboard Live. Throughout the 1970s the two groups came to define the funky sound of the era, producing hit after hit under the guidance of singer, songwriter and leader Clinton. After going solo in 1982, the man otherwise known as Dr. Funkenstein went solo and continued to write and produce, eventually becoming a major influence on the developing hip-hop genre. Catch this true musical innovator performing live with his band playing hits from both groups.
